Prestige Sterilizer The autoclave sterilizer that achieves full sterilization at a low enough temperature to protect delicate handpieces. Protecting patients and staff from the risks of cross contamination is an important professional responsibility. OSHA, the CDC and ADA all advise sterilization as the effective method for infection control. The Prestige operates at a lower temperature (121°C / 250°F) to achieve full sterilization. This is gentler on your hand pieces, thereby protecting your investment. Instruments are placed inside plastic cassettes, which are suspended vertically on an internal rack assembly. Total cycle time, from pushing the "start" button to handling the instruments is 25 to 30 minutes.
