Thermally Activated
for Total Orthopedic Control
The Nitanium Palatal Expander's action is the result of transition temperatures
and shape memory. Warmth from the patients' mouth activates movement in
the thermal nickel titanium energy wire toward the appliance's pre-programmed
shape, producing the desired expansion and in-unison tooth movement. Once
exact correction is achieved, the appliance stops expanding and lies passive.
