Simple, Fast Technique
- Clean and dry the denture thoroughly.
- Use a bur to relieve the surface to the desired depth of soft liner.
To create a neat vestibular juncture between the soft liner and denture
acrylic, it is advisable to trim the periphery to a right-angle.
- Brush two thin coats of Mucopren adhesive onto the roughened surface
and air-dry for at least 90 seconds.
- Apply Mucopren soft uniformly to prevent entrapped air (keep the tip
of the syringe in the material). Insert the denture into the patient's
mouth immediately and carry out active and passive functional excursions.
- Once the material has hardened, remove the dentures. Trim excess material
with scissors, a scalpel or rotary instrument creating a neat juncture
between the denture acrylic and soft liner. Trimmed acrylic areas can
be polished as usual.
- Apply a thin coat of Mucopren silicone sealant to the trimmed areas
of the soft liner and allow it to harden for 5 minutes. (Note: place
a small amount of Mucopren sealant in a suitable container and brush
on within 60 seconds).
- When relining indirectly, apply adequate amounts of separating agent
to the model. To ensure the setting time remains the same, place the
soft liner in a pressure vessel with water at 35° C.
