Convenience of Disposable Plastics - Stability of Metal Trays!

  • Pre-inserted "thermoelastic bite wafer" records the opposing teeth and creates totally stable impression.
  • Distortion, spring back and high bites eliminated (wafer locks into tray walls, forming one solid unit for a totally stable impression upon removal from the mouth).
  • Posterior tray accommodates differences in anatomy (such as layer arches or the presence of third-molar interference) with wider walls than standard trays and auxiliary support bar.

Save up to 40% per year in impressioning costs

  • Trays compress the wash material into and around the prep, using up to two-thirds less impression material.

Simple Technique Ensures Accurate Results

  1. Place the tray into a preheated water bath (140° to 150° F) for approximately one minute. The white thermoplastic wafer becomes soft and clear.
  2. After preparing the teeth, remove the tray from the bath. Inject polyvinyl siloxane around the prep and into the blank side of the tray. Due to the presence of the bite wafer, only one side of the tray is filled.
  3. Place the tray into proper position and have the patient bite to centric (patient will be biting into the impression material and bite wafer simultaneously). This procedure ensures the patient is in centric position. It also allows the practitioner to register range of motion, if so desired.
  4. The wafer efficiently compresses the impression material into and around the prep, with wafer and impression material separated by wisp thin gauze.
  5. The thermoplastic bite wafer becomes rigid and set after approximately five minutes in the mouth.

"It is the most predictable bite tray I have ever used. I like its rigidity and the tray width. My impressions are consistently accurate."
                                   - Robert Levine, DDS, MAGD
                                     University of Connecticut Dental School

"The crowns seem to walk right into place and lay there without requiring adjustment, obviously due to the combination of a rigid tray and the ability to record a bite registration."
                                                                                                                - Irving Siegel, DDS

"These trays offer the convenience of quadrant impressions plus internal dimensional stability and rigidity. They also provide an accurate opposing static bite registration, as well as a bite that records all excursions. This allows the lab to make a crown with full occlusal harmony when in centric, balanced, working contact."

                                                                                                                                                    - Kenneth W. Griffin, DDS
