Reduce Appointment Time
By utilizing Space Maintainers Canada's Indirect Bonding Service you can reduce your initial bracket placement appointment time by as much as 30%. Even more important, accurate bracket placement from the start of treatment will save you time in "finishing and detailing" the case.

Simplifies Final Placement
Brackets are attached to the model using a water-soluble lab adhesive. Memosil Indirect Tray Material is used to encompass the brackets for easy release after bonding. With each Indirect Bonding case from Space Maintainers Canada, you will receive:
Your original working models undamaged as possible. On all cases, the brackets are placed directly on your models to ensure maximum accuracy. This will, on occasion, result in breakage of the casts.
Indirect bonding transfer trays. The trays will be labeled and sectioned for each arch. Our standard tray design will section the trays in the following manner:

An arch with the 5 x 5 bonded (molars banded) will be sectioned into right and left halves at the midline (5 teeth per tray section)
An arch with the 7 x 7 bonded will be sectioned into three pieces with splits distal to the cuspids (maximum of 6 teeth per section) for optimal control during bonding.

Sectioning Options:

An arch with 5 x 5 bonded can be sectioned into three pieces with cuts distal to the cuspids. This ensures that the centrals will not be the terminal teeth in a tray section.
An arch with 5 x 5 bonded can be requested as a single tray for complete bonding. With experience and excellent isolation and moisture control, and proper handling of the bonding materials, this technique is quite feasible.
An arch with the 7 x 7 bonded can be sectioned into two pieces with a cut between the centrals.

There are situations where a tooth is so extremely rotated or crowded that a bracket cannot be placed initially. In these situations, Space Maintainers Canada can fabricate a single bracket "mini-tray" for bonding when sufficient space has been created.
