IPS Empress®

"This 35 year old male patient presented with porcelain veneers originally placed 14 years ago to cover heavy fluorosis. The restorations were not only failing but were leaking marginally creating gingival irritation and an overall unattractive smile. A cant from right to left involving #6 to #11 was also present. A Smile Analysis was conducted to create optimal height to width ratio; optimal gingival contouring and symmetry; and to correct the cant. The patient was shown the resulting Diagnostic Wax-up illustrating how his new smile would appear which he enthusiastically accepted.

Gingival recontouring was accomplished with a diode laser and ten IPS Empress veneers were placed #4 - #13. Each veneer was constructed using three shades: 120 for marginal blend, 110 gingivally and 040 as the body. Thanks to the excellent work by Aurum Ceramic through every stage of the restorative process, the patient now can't stop smiling!"
