"This patient lost #9 due to trauma as a child with the remainder of the tooth being extracted and replaced with a conventional PFM bridge approximately 20 years ago. Since that time, she had always been self-conscious and embarassed by the appearance of her smile.

After discussing alternatives with the patient, #5 through #12 were treated with an IPS Eris™ bridge (#8-10) and IPS Empress veneers on #5 - #7 and #11 and #12. Diagnostic wax-ups were prepared by Aurum Ceramic/Classic to determine tooth length and obtain patient approval. A diode laser was employed to create an ovate pontic site and achieve a natural emergence profile. An 0-1 ingot was selected as this shade blends nicely with the IPS Eris™ restoration. The smile was restored to shade 110 on the body and 120 on the gingival. The patient is ecstatic with her new smile!

Aurum Ceramic/Classic did a fantastic job of establishing anterior and canine guidance to create an ideal occlusion restoring the perfect form and function that is every bit as critical as the aesthetic appearance of the final restorations."
