"I have enclosed pre- and post-operative photos of some
of Aurum's fine work. You make me look good. The patient is a middle
aged lady with a history of a high incidence of dental problems.
As a result, she lost teeth and had posterior bite collapse. Every
one of her remaining teeth had been extensively restored with amalgam
or composite restorations.
Her initial concern was the appearance of her front teeth. However,
after having her situation explained, she understood the need to
restore her posterior occlusion before proceeding with the restoration
of her front teeth. A previously done bridge on the lower right
was retained. Her posterior occlusion was reestablished with three
new porcelain-fused-to-metal bridges. We were then able to respond
to her original concerns about her upper front teeth.
Her six upper anteriors were restored with Empress partial crowns
which involved the labial surfaces and any other previously restored
areas of the teeth. We restored her six lower anteriors with conservative
direct bonded composites."
