Cementation Guidelines
- Use conventional crown & bridge cementation.
- Recommended Cements:
Glass Ionomer, Zinc Phosphate or self-cure Composite Resin Cement (e.g.,
Panavia 21).
- Temporary cementation of Procera AllZirkon bridges is NOT recommended.
- Once you receive your restoration from Aurum Ceramic/Classic:
- Check restoration on die.
- Seat restoration on teeth. Bridge must fit
passively when seating. Check proximal contact and evaluate fit,
occlusion and esthetics.
- Adjust occlusion carefully before cementation.
- Internal surface roughness
of restoration is similar to that of porcelain surface after etching
(provides excellent cementation
strength without
further preparation). Only needs to be cleaned with standard
methods (phosphoric acid and alcohol) to achieve a perfect surface for
luting agent.
- Consider translucency of restoration and cement when cementing
in anterior region.
- Apply selected cement in restoration. NOTE:
Use of too much cement can make seating restoration difficult.
- Seat
restoration carefully using finger pressure. Do not push the restoration
into place.
- Once seated, allow excess cement to set completely.
- Remove excess cement
from margins.
