Dr. Robert Bond and Dr. Alan Macdonald are senior certified instructors for the Academy of Orthodontics, treating thousands of patients with the techniques presented in their course. Lecturing throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, they have provided orthodontic education for hundreds of general and pediatric dentists. Their course approach is straightforward, systematic and practical. Participants have achieved tremendous success in treating their patients.

A 2 Time Winner of the International Association of Orthodontics Case of the Year Award, Dr. Robert Bond graduated from the University of Toronto in 1970 and has included orthodontics as part of his general practice for the past 30 years. He has studied such authorities as Doctors Bob Moyer, James MacNamara, John Witzig, Robert Shaye, Alex Petrovic, Tony Ricci, Don Woodside, G. Altuna, Eugene Williamson, "Tip" Owens, Tony Gionally, Rob Ricketts, Thomas Graber, Henri Petit, L. Wieslander, N. Diers, Tom Mulligan, and Walter Doyle.

He has consolidated the thoughts, research and treatment methods of many hours of post-graduate education in Functional Appliance Therapy. He gives course participants a very practical level of clinical and theoretical knowledge gleaned from these men. Dr. Bond is also a keen student of occlusion, the "key to orthodontic stability" and has studied intensively under Doctors Peter Dawson, Niles Guichet, Don Moore, Emmanuel Rajczak, Rudolph Slavicek, Ron Roth, and John Sheridan.

Responsible for the diagnostic system and the straight wire appliance components of the course, Dr. Alan Macdonald is a graduate of the University of Toronto and a Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry. Incorporating orthodontics into his general practice for the past 30 years, he integrates recent diagnostic procedures with both functional and fixed appliances to attempt to attain orthodontic objectives of a pleasing face, an attractive smile, a functional occlusion, no T.M.D. problems and no relapse later.

During his time in practice, he has refined his techniques by integrating knowledge in orthodontics, occlusion and T.M.D. from Doctors Dawson, Moore, Pankey, Wilson, Hansen, Dale, Ricketts, McNeil, Parker Mahan, Williams, Andrews, Brehm, Gollaher, Woodside, Mulligan, MacNamara, Williamson, Ernest, Moyers, Graber, Witzig, Owens, Geretty, Roth, Ricci, Gelb, Haden, Bell, Farrar, Browbeer, Korn, and others into his practice.
