"This 36 year-old female patient was in excellent mental and physical health. While her oral health was very good, she wanted a more attractive natural smile that would close her anterior open-bite and give her a "full size" teeth arrangement without orthognathic/orthodontic treatment.

After discussing the alternatives with the patient, the decision was reached to place eight Fortress all porcelain veneer restorations. The gingival crests were slightly altered with laser treatment at the time of preparation. The patient chose a dominant, LVI guide, style arrangement and a B-1 Chroma and B-1 Value prior to the preparation appointment.

Following placement of the restorations, the patient wrote to outline some of the positive results of the treatment. 'One of the first and most noticeable differences is that I am no longer self conscious of my two front teeth. It is nice to have a full size set of adult teeth! I also really like the lighter shade of the teeth. An unexpected benefit has also happened. I have had problems in the past with biting the inside corners of my lips. It was often quite painful. Now that I have adult size teeth to support my lips, I no longer bite the inside of my mouth.'"
