Full Mouth Reconstruction

“Despite previous reconstructive jaw surgery and orthodontic treatment to correct her bite, this patient was still suffering from severe migraine headaches, jaw pain, ringing in the ears and dizziness. In her own words, ‘1 could no longer enjoy the things that were important to me such as playing golf or traveling by air with my husband My face had lost its youthful appearance and my teeth barely showed when I smiled. I was frustrated and upset after seeking out so many different avenues for help’.

After completing a comprehensive examination and a full set of diagnostic x-rays, we utilized the K-7 diagnostic software and an ultra low frequency TENS unit to allow the mandible to find a comfortable position in space relative to the maxilla with respect to pitch, yaw, and roll. A Diagnostic Wax-up was prepared by Aurum Ceramic, showing the patient her new smile. Her upper arch was then prepared with the Wax-up used to fabricate a lower LVI Orthotic. The Aurum Ceramic Advanced Esthetic (AE) Team provided the Prep Indices, Bite Stent and Siltec Provisional Stent based on the Wax-up and then crafted beautiful IPS Empress crowns for the upper arch. Three months later, the Fixed Lower Luxatemp Orthotic on the lower arch was replaced with IPS Empress crowns, again crafted by Aurum Ceramic. Thanks to Aurum Ceramic for the incredible all-ceramics throughout.

The final result was 28 beautifully crafted Empress restorations that have given this patient a pain-free reason to smile. Now she can fly, play golf, whatever she wants without pain or dizziness. She is ecstatic, stating ‘After treatment, my symptoms are gone and I feel like a new person. The bonus is, I have a beautiful, youthful smile and an instant facelift. Thank you Dr. Frazar and Team for giving me my life back!’”
