“Recently, two of my team members had expressed dissatisfaction
with their smiles. Neither had what I would consider totally
unesthetic smiles but, in both cases, they were not exactly what
they were looking for. A simple recontouring was all that was
required to remedy the situation for one of the team members.
However, the second was troubled by her diastema, general tooth
size and shape and overall shade (she was close to a 110 and
wanted to be a 010). She was also aware that she had an overclosed
bite, but as she had no complaints with the situation, we decided
to proceed only on the basis of dealing with her esthetic concerns.
After discussing the alternatives with the patient, we decided
to start with her upper Anterior 8 (first bicuspid to first bicuspid),
beginning with mild tissue recontouring and preparing these teeth
for IPS Empress veneers created by The Aurum Ceramic/Classic
Advanced Esthetic Team. In the future, we plan to deal with the
bit of crowding on her lowers. In the meantime, neither team
member can stop smiling as illustrated by the after ‘studio
photo’ shown here. I credit a lot of my success and reputation
in Cosmetic Dentistry to the consistently excellent artistry
provided by Aurum Ceramic/Classic and thank them for their support
and outstanding personal attention to detail.”
