Session #3: How To Build A Specialty Program In Your Practice

Drs. Bao-Tran Nguyen & Nate Jeal
Thursday March 30th, 2023
6:00pm to 9:00pm

Truly understanding our patients is the starting point for building high-value implant, orthodontic and cosmetic dentistry programs inside dental practices.

The answers to the questions “who values your solutions?” and “who doesn’t?” should shape the conversations we have with patients so that they always get recommendations that fit their objectives.

Course Objectives:

  1. The Conversion Equation
  2. How & Why You Must Create Awareness
  3. How To Uncover Value And Distinguish Buyers From Non-Buyers
  4. How To Use Imagery In a Way That Inspires Action
  5. What Value In The Dental Transaction Means And How It Can Be Achieved … And MUCH more!

This evidence-based workshop combines elements of behavioral psychology and neuropsychology to develop an understanding of how dental consumers make buying decisions. By the end of the workshop, you will have some key elements of a system to confidently convert more patients to high-value, niche dental solutions.

Dr. Bao-Tran Nguyen and Dr. Nate Jeal are Educational & Clinical Consultants with the Aurum Group, and Key Opinion Leaders with the American Academy of Clear Aligners.

Session #6: Comprehensive Dentistry Using the T-Scan™ A Major Advance for Doctors and Patients

Dr. Ben Sutter
Thursday June 22nd, 2023
6:00pm to 9:00pm

Occlusion is a complex neurologic science that involves the interplay between the teeth, the muscles, and the temporomandibular joints. Occlusion, however, is taught biomechanically, absent of true interocclusal functional measurements of the occlusal force and timing of the contacts that affects patient’s neurologic health and comfort every time they use their teeth. The T-Scan™ system makes it possible to precisely control the occlusal forces and timing with natural teeth, dental implants, and prosthodontic restorations. The T-Scan offers patients predictably improved outcomes, while minimizing the common fallout of a dentist’s lack of occlusal measurement; and the repeated post-prosthetic insertion occlusal adjustments that don’t resolve the patient’s comfort issues, despite the dentist’s best efforts. This course will illustrate how employing occlusal measurement technology, and an evidence-based digital approach to occlusion, helps dentists provide lasting, comfortable, and successful treatments for patients in everyday clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • How T-Scan, by measuring occlusal contact forces and timing, has revolutionized day-to-day occlusal dentistry, offering both dentists and patients occlusal outcome predictability.
  • Discover the real limitations of using articulating papers, and why intraoral scanner occlusion does not replace using T-Scan at prosthetic insertions.
  • How to record good T-Scan data and how to use that data to make targeted occlusal corrections.
  • A review of important scientific studies and evidence to support the routine use of digital occlusion technology, and what the research means to your patients.
  • Common complications in restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry – a review of many clinical cases and how to digitally diagnose and treat common occlusal problems.

Ben A. Sutter, DMD has been studying and treating TMJ dysfunction since graduating dental school in 2005. In that time, he has sought advanced education and training in treating neuromuscular issues. His studies have taken him to the Las Vegas Institute, the Piper Education and Research Center, Perfect Bite Doctor (precursor to TruDenta), and Equilibration Seminars.

He is the author of several articles and abstracts, and has clinical, research, and teaching experience. He has been awarded Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, Las Vegas Institute, and the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics as well as the Center for Neural Occlusion. He mainly lectures on objective digital occlusal measurement and Disclusion Time Reduction (DTR).
