Position Details:

The Aurum Group is a full service dental company with locations across Canada and the U.S. We are passionate about our client’s smiles and are looking for a Director of Sales (DOS) will share that passion!

The DOS is responsible for The Aurum Group’s investments in the sales organization and manages functions essential to the sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting, management, sales training, performance reviews, sales compensation design, sales meetings and the final selection of sales force talent. The DOS is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization.

Performance Requirements & Expectations:


  • Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting Provides leadership to the sales organization in implementing sales objectives that appropriately reflect the company’s business goals
  • Responsible for equitably assigning sales force quotas and ensuring the company’s financial objectives are optimally allocated to all sales channels
  • Working closely with the Marketing department to develop and execute regional and annual sales meetings, aligning with current company objectives and strategies
  • Partners with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement
  • Responsible for the optimal deployment of sales personnel. Makes recommendations for changing sales roles, or team configurations in order to maximize sales productivity.
  • Working closely with sales leadership and Human Resources to establish a sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales competencies
  • Working with Human Resources and senior sales leadership to design sales incentive compensation programs that provide market-competitive pay, reinforce sales organization strategy and align with business and sales organization objectives.
  • Directly manages one or more Regional Managers
  • Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
  • Skills & Qualifications:

    • Science or Business degree from an accredited institution
    • Minimum five years of sales or sales management experience in business to business sales environment
    • Minimum five years in sales operations, business planning, or sales support management role
    • Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives
    • Must be proficient in excel, word, and powerpoint
    • Technical aptitude a requirement
    • 60% overnight travel required – extensive travel is required in the field, training, mentoring and monitoring our sales force.
