Innovating Sleep Health

Lamberg™ SleepWell Appliance

The Lamberg SleepWell™ Appliance is a custom oral device designed to reduce snoring and help manage obstructive sleep apnea by keeping the airway open during sleep. Developed by Dr. Steven Lamberg and fabricated in partnership with The Aurum Group, this appliance offers an effective, non‑invasive alternative to traditional sleep therapy options.

A Comfortable, Clinically Proven Solution for Snoring & Mild to Moderate Sleep Apnea

How the Lamberg SleepWell™ Appliance Works

Each device is custom‑made by prescription, ensuring a precise fit for comfort, retention, and effectiveness.

The Lamberg SleepWell™ is a two‑piece oral appliance worn during sleep. It gently positions the lower jaw forward, which helps prevent airway collapse by supporting the tongue and surrounding soft tissues. This forward positioning improves airflow, helping reduce snoring and interruptions in breathing throughout the night.

Clinically Supported & Expert‑Led Innovation

Dr. Steven Lamberg

The Lamberg SleepWell™ Oral Appliance was invented by Dr. Steven Lamberg, a recognized leader in dental sleep medicine and a Diplomate of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Oral appliance therapy has been shown in clinical literature to:

  • Reduce snoring frequency and intensity
  • Decrease apnea and hypopnea events in selected patients
  • Improve daytime alertness and sleep quality
  • Offer a preferred alternative for patients who cannot tolerate CPAP therapy

Designed for Comfort, Compliance & Long‑Term Use

Natural feel & free movement

Unlike bulky or restrictive sleep devices, the Lamberg SleepWell™ Appliance is engineered to feel natural in the mouth while sleeping. Its design allows free horizontal and vertical jaw movement, helping reduce strain on the jaw joint and minimize long‑term dental or muscular side effects.

Key design benefits include:
  • Two‑piece construction for comfort and flexibility
  • Adjustable in 0.5 mm increments, allowing gradual, precise jaw positioning
  • Simple to insert, remove, clean, and maintain
  • High patient acceptance and long‑term compliance

Lamberg SleepWell Patient Information

What Patients Can Expect

Most patients experience an adjustment period when first wearing an oral sleep appliance. During the first few weeks, it is common to notice:

  • Increased saliva
  • Mild jaw or tooth soreness
  • A temporary bite change upon waking

These effects typically resolve as the mouth adapts. Ongoing dental follow‑up is essential to monitor comfort, function, and treatment effectiveness.

Simple Care & Maintenance

Daily care is straightforward and fits easily into a morning routine:

  • Clean the appliance each morning using a soft toothbrush or denture cleaner
  • Rinse with cool water only
  • Allow the appliance to fully air‑dry before storage
  • Store in a protective case away from pets and heat

With proper care, the Lamberg SleepWell™ Appliance typically lasts 2–3 years

Ongoing Support & Monitoring

Regular follow‑up visits with your dentist are crucial to ensure the appliance continues to fit properly and function as intended. Your dentist may also recommend sleep testing to confirm treatment effectiveness over time.
